Ride along with Southern Slam Outfitters to experience our Homosassa boat tours and explore the back waters of the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge provides a place for approximately 250 species of birds, over 50 species of reptiles and amphibians, and at least 25 different species of mammals. Endangered and threatened species on the refuge include manatees, sea turtles and bald eagles. The refuge consists of marshlands, swamp lands, shallow bays, and tidal streams. Home to white pelicans, osprey, king fishers, manatee, dolphin, bald eagle, sea turtles, roseate spoonbills, sea otters, and other species. On this tour you’ll definitely want your camera ready cause you never know what you will see as we make our through the beautiful wildlife. There is a reason they call this the Homosassa, Florida Nature Coast!
